Fujifilm Photo Walk (1-to-1)
A one-to-one walk through Norfolk (or beyond), helping you get properly comfortable with your Fujifilm camera.
Best for: Anyone who's just bought a Fujifilm — or is thinking about buying one — and wants to get the most out of it. Beginners stuck in auto mode. Anyone with a trip, family occasion or wedding coming up where you want to capture it properly. A brilliant gift for someone who's invested in a camera, or paired alongside the camera itself.
Whether you've got an X100VI, X-T5, X-S20, X-T50, X-H2, X-Pro3, or anything else in the X-series, this session is built around the kit in your hands.
Why Fujifilm specifically. I've been shooting on Fujifilm camera systems since 2020 — it's what I use for all my professional and personal work. Fujifilm have been a client of mine, I've collaborated with them on projects, and they invite me to test new camera bodies when they launch. So when I'm advising you on what to buy and how to use it, you're tapping into hands-on experience with the latest kit.
What you're really paying for: a shortcut. I've spent a frankly ridiculous amount of time watching comparison videos, testing lenses, swapping bodies, and working out what's worth buying. Save yourself the hours — we'll cover in a single morning what would take you weeks of YouTube to piece together.
If you're shooting on Sony, Canon, Nikon or anything else, this isn't the right session — I'd only be guessing at the menus. But if you're on Fujifilm (or about to be), you're in the right place.
No prior technical knowledge needed. If your camera still lives in auto mode and the word "aperture" makes you squint, you're exactly who this is for. We start from wherever you're at.
What we'll cover (tailored to where you're at):
The fundamentals — aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and how they work together
Film simulations — Classic Chrome, Velvia, Acros, Reala Ace, Nostalgic Neg, and how to use grain
Custom recipes — setting up your camera to nail a look in-camera, no editing required
Composition, focus and light — the photographer's eye, not just the technical stuff
Lenses and gear advice — what to buy next (and what not to bother with)
Real-world shooting — holidays, family events, weddings, street, portraits, landscapes
By the end of the session you'll:
Understand exposure properly — and never need to use auto mode again unless you choose to
Have your camera set up with custom recipes that match how you actually want to shoot
Know which Fujifilm lenses are worth your money — and which to walk past
Feel confident shooting in real-world situations: travel, family, street, low light
Have a clear idea of the next steps to keep improving on your own
Two session options:
Half-day (£295): Three hours walking and shooting, one location, coffee on me. Focused on the fundamentals — manual mode, film simulations, one or two shooting scenarios. Image review on the back of your camera as we go.
Full-day (£495): Five hours across two locations, plus a proper lunch on me. Deeper session — all the fundamentals, custom recipes, lens advice, time across different scenarios. Ends with a proper photo review on my laptop.
Bring a friend — 25% off per person. Both sessions can be booked as a one-to-one or as a two-person walk. Bringing a partner, family member or friend means you both save 25% per person and share the experience. They get the same full session, same coffee and lunch, same access to all my Fujifilm questions.
Half-day for two: £440 total (£220 each). Full-day for two: £740 total (£370 each).
Works best when both of you shoot Fujifilm (or are about to). If one's a beginner and the other's more advanced, that's fine — I'll tailor the day so both get value.
What's included (every variant):
One-to-one or two-person session — your choice
Coffee (half-day) or coffee + lunch (full-day) on me — usually at one of my favourite Norwich spots (Strangers' Coffee, Frank's Bar, The Last Wine Bar, or somewhere on the coast if we're walking that way)
Location suggestions based on what you want to shoot
All your own images to keep
Honest answers to any Fujifilm question you've ever had
Haven't bought your camera yet? No problem. If you're considering Fujifilm and want some advice before you spend a penny, I offer a complimentary 15-minute call to help you decide — what body, what lenses to start with, new or used, what to look out for, where to buy. Just get in touch and mention you'd like the camera-buying call. No obligation.
Booking the date: When you book, get in touch (or I'll reach out to the recipient if it's a gift) and we'll agree a date together. Monday–Friday is my preference, weekends open if that suits better.
Where we walk: Based in Norwich, with brilliant shooting locations across Norfolk and East Anglia. Equally happy to travel further — UK, Europe, or the rest of the world.
Travel: Norfolk included. Anywhere beyond is a small additional fee, agreed in writing before we book the date.
A brilliant gift. Especially for someone who's just bought (or is about to buy) a Fujifilm — or pair it with the camera itself. Mention it's a gift in the project form and I'll send you a hand-written voucher in the post. Recipient redeems within 12 months, and we'll liaise directly to find a date.
Group sessions are coming. For now, focusing on one-to-one and two-person walks — it's where I can give you my full attention. Group walks arrive later in 2026, sign up to the newsletter to hear when.
People who book this usually tell me afterwards that they'd spent ages trying to figure out their Fujifilm from YouTube and never quite cracked it — and that a single morning together moved them further than weeks of fiddling. That's the bit I love.
Pay how it suits you: Upfront, or split into 4 monthly payments via Squarespace Payments — same price, zero interest.
